It's that time of year again! We are so honored to take part in the Bucks County Designer House & Gardens once again! For more than 40 years, the Bucks County Designer House & Gardens has been the largest fundraiser operated by the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown. This annual event now attracts more than 8,000 visitors each year. Proceeds from the event support Doylestown Hospital and the mission of the VIA.
Named Foxwood Manor, this year's designer house is an 1830 farmhouse nestled amidst nine lush green acres and shaded with outstanding trees in the heart of Jamison. This stone-and-stucco home features six fireplaces, original stone walls, and plenty of character.
This year, we have the pleasure of furnishing three unique spaces including the cozy living room, front porch, and spacious master bedroom. The front porch and master bedroom are designed by our resident design duo, Bobby Huber, Jr. and Melanie Cavanagh. The living room will be designed by interior designer, Mark Little.
The recently purchased property was in need of some love and care when it was first chosen to be the Designer House 2016. Now, as we approach the official open of the house tours, all the featured designers are hard at work completely transforming it into a beautiful, welcoming home.
See what the house looked like at the beginning of our design process:
Right now, the transformation is underway. Before the furniture goes in begin, the master bedroom will be outfitted with new floors and windows, all the walls will be freshly painted, and the front porch will be cleaned and accented with beautiful landscaping.
Here's a sneak peak at the master bedroom design by Melanie and Bobby! It combines soft blue hues with sophisticated grey and silver...and even a touch of faux fur!
Bucks County Designer House tours start May 1! Save $5 on tour tickets when you buy them in advance at Oskar Huber in Southampton! We hope to see you there!
