Each season the Pantone Color Institute, a world-renowned authority on color, introduces a symbolic color landscape that reflects cultural moods. In 2016, Pantone's fashion trend palette features ten vibrant hues that pull from bold urban landscapes and the tranquility of nature.
"Colors this season transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves, " says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director at the Pantone Color Institute. "With our culture still surrounded by so much uncertainty, we are continuing to yearn for those softer shades that offer a sense of calm and relaxation." This vivid collection of hues plays on our need for mindfulness and curiosity.
This color forecast extends its influence beyond the fashion industry. You'll find these colors expanding into home interiors and design trends. Below, we offer our breakdown of the 2016 Pantone Spring Color Trends.
